Abstract

Universidad Veracruzana (Veracruzana University), México, has held discussions and encouraged measures for over a decade to strengthen sustainability throughout college life. Several efforts have also been made to design a transversal policy that will address all substantial roles and articulate all stakeholders with effectiveness. In 2010, the Chancellor formally submitted the Universidad Veracruzana’s Sustainability Master Plan (PlanMaSUV) and simultaneously implemented a coordination office for execution. Four years have passed since PlanMaSUV was implemented. All pillars have been applied in a different way, some have penetrated easily, whereas others have not even been able to enter or connect. This article intends to provide a brief report on both the actions that were implemented and the difficulties encountered.
