This work is intended as support for the academic community in the field of education by providing a selected, up-to-date and orderly group of information resources that for the most part confront problems in Latin American education. The selection was made with the following criteria in mind: that contents be on education; sources should preferably be in Spanish, although some in Portuguese and English are described; that they be generated by university institutions, national or international official entities; and that they be of free access and easy consultation.Resources are placed in the following categories: research institutes and centers; documentary databases and digital newspaper and periodicals libraries; specialized libraries and online catalogues; statistical databases; networks, academies, associations and organisms; and electronic magazines. In each category, sites were classified as national or international and were placed in alphabetical order within these categories. Journals are presented by country and include their periodicity, one or two electronic addresses, the institution that publishes them and the main databases and virtual newspaper and periodicals libraries in which they are indexed.
