Proposal of an indicator system to analyze segregation in terms o gender among university students

This paper performs a theoretical review on the use of indicators to analyze gender segregation of university students. To this end, it first reflects on overall aspects such as the definition of indicators, their characteristics and potential typologies. Then, it studies gender indicators in depth as well as their application to universities so as to identify and analyze potential inequalities and situations of segregation in terms of gender among the students. At last, it suggests a potential indicator system in this sense.
