Abstract

This work focuses on the case method applied to universities, in particular to students of business-related disciplines. At first a review is made of the core conceptual contributions of said methodology from its origins at Harvard business school. The authors of this research defend the use of real company cases describing the development of a company case susceptible to its later use in the classroom. To this end it is indispensable to observe the recommendations of The World Association for Case Method Research and Application (WACRA), as well as a series of aspects, which are the fruits of the authors experience. Next the stages of the case implementation are explained followed by final reflections.
