The purpose of this article is to analyze the process of institutionalization of the campaign against sexual harassment and the work to promote gender equality at the Universidad Austral de Chile, one of the pioneering universities in that country in addressing this issue. A single case study was carried out by means of interviews with staff members. We identified the progress made (creation of committees, diagnostic reports, etc.), but we also pointed out the pending challenges. The results can provide insights for other institutions that are facing these challenges and contribute to a better understanding of which strategies are most effective and which obstacles need to be overcome.
