Discourse and representations of students of Bacteriology and Social Work

The article analyzes representations students in the 5th semesterof Bacteriology and Social Work of theUniversity - Colegio Mayor de Cundinamarca, Colombia, have of their own professional training based on a socio-cultural and sociolinguistic approach to analyze their answers to a questionnaire with open questions. Great representational diversity was found on their professional training among the students of each group in spite of sharing experience, training and educational processes; said situation shows wide sociocultural potential to face their education and job entry, but also revealed a weak construction of professional identity for each course of study; similar findings were produced between the courses of study in spite of belonging to dissimilar professional fields.
