Abstract

The social and economic development of a country is related to social inclusion, which is incorporated in the affirmatives actions that are currently being applied in Brazil, such as the University Program for Everyone (ProUni). The purpose of the research herein presented is to assess, on the one hand, the impact that the new profile of students who enroll through ProUni has on higher education institutions, and on the other, the impact of ProUni graduates on society. We used quantitative and qualitative methodology. The results outlined according to student diversity show significant and relevant associations among employability, work, remuneration, satisfaction, incentives, and other aspects that also show a positive impact, both in the academic setting (inclusion of a new profile) and on society (social inclusion of ProUni graduates).
