Abstract

Review of the book Sobre la educación en un mundo liquid (about education in a liquid world), by Zygmunt Bauman, written based on his conversations with Riccardo Mazzeo. He first exposes the subjects of great importance that were covered and then briefly reviews some if Bauman’s ideas about education, among others, the situation of young people in contemporary societies, their exclusion from universities due to budget cuts and the increase of tuition fees (in the case of the United Kingdom) as well as the challenges for the educational systems to contribute to a cultural revolution in face of the consumerism discourse.
